The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), written exam and pass the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA exam). The CPA exam consists of four sections: Auditing and Attestation (AUD), Business Environment and Concepts (BEC), Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Regulation (REG).
The shortest test is 2.5 hours in 2010 BEC. (It extends along the year 2011 for three hours.) Compare this to the FAR, the stretching up to four hours. The good news is that more than one game at a time, unlike the old days, when the four phases over a period of two days, Saturday
Such as AUD, and REG, a present, two types of questions: multiple choice questions (MCQ) and simulations. Simulations, case studies are small, we will answer your questions. In each simulation, there is a problem in writing (a small sample) and a question (it looked like something from a search engine like Google).
QCM in 2010 to 70% of your guests, simulations of 20% and 10% of written communications. (Although there are two questions, a written notice to each simulation only one of them will be classified. Unfortunately, the AICPA does not say which one). QCM will be in 2011 with 60% of the bill and the SIM card is about 40%. There is no communication in the RAF in 2011.
A FAR a total of 90 multiple choice questions to be presented in three sets (or testlet) of 30 questions each.
Your first testlet QCM is of medium difficulty, that the authorities of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) determined. Your definition of average difficulty can not carry all your AICPA QCM so again and again. Be prepared for some questions that deal with difficult testlet first.
If you perform well in a testlet, 2 testlet will have more difficult questions. Good news! Worth more points! YES! Conversely, if you do not have a good return testlet testlet two simple questions. Bad news: The questions are worth fewer points, and it has more to do with them just to get the completion. Y'all have been warned.
Tip Review: Read the question at the end of the first paragraph. I know it's like eating desert before, but here's why: If you, ask what you know you'll be able to scan the paragraph and choose exactly which bits of information you need. If you take the standard approach to reading the script from start to question, there is the risk that the multitude of details that are designed to slow and confuse you may be distracted. Scan to the end and read the first question. Then read the text to know what you are looking for.
They will take the exam on the computer a little over 300 Prometric testing centers in the United States and its territories. (Prometric has more than 10,000 test centers in the world. Same CPA exam, Portland, Maine, where Portland, Oregon. You can always place a center that is free at the time of the request to sit down.)
To pass the exam, you should budget your time. To do this, you must be able to tell how the time to Prometric. Translation: you need to know how the clock to monitor the Prometric.
Unlike the rest of the universe, in which one of the clock, this clock is counting down to Prometric. This means that you start with "4:00" on the clock or 4 hours. This does not mean it's 4:00 clock, or that you stop at 4:00 clock. I wish it were different!
Tip: Write the paperless testlet for your program to the beginning of each. The table could be:
Testlet --- Start time
------- 4:00 a
2 ------- 3:20
3 2:40 -------
4 2:00 -------
5 ------- 1:10
Extra time: 20 minutes and / or failure and track responses.
As long as you know, what your goals are, you can reduce the chances of you running time during the audit.
