Success Stories Technology Companies

If you wait for your customers thank you for your products and technical services, you are missing a great marketing opportunity: the success story.

Consistency with or witness tells of a client an unfinished story. The details of what you have explained only in part, because the client is entitled to presume to know everything. In addition, customers can mislead the praises of other customers, based on technology with the wrong name, for example, or place of oversimplification.

A success story avoids these problems and ensures that you deserve the credit card. A success story is under your control, because they mix the story you want to say about the quotes and statements from clients. In fact, you write with your ideal.

Three conditions for a great interview

Success stories begin with the most important interviews with major customers. To get the best of the interview, you must:

* Ask the tough questions. Sometimes a "negative" issues more positive responses from clients: What would you change about the product or service? There is something what would you do differently now?
* Leave your preconceptions about your technology, products, services and solutions. You can dig a new use of a product or a new store when we do the interview, in which the client wants.
* Set aside the project, the story of how you use it again. Customer perception of the problem (and solution) and the reasons why the customer can choose your company very different from your perception - or even what the client originally said.

The advantages of objectivity

I recently interviewed a longtime customer of a company that designs and manufactures monitors to keep data centers cool, dry, safe and smoke-free. Who controls successfully protect hundreds equipment worth thousands of dollars, each customer has to say. But this particular client, spoke of the value of the monitor to capacity planning. Environmental information by the monitors could configure the new company in their data centers and avoid a costly move for a larger structure. As the client has requested to share this information in the interview, the monitoring company has discovered a new benefit of their product and a new class of potential customers.

The company published the story on its website, by e-mail to potential customers and handed it to fairs. If we had several successes, I have woven together to create a white paper.

Success stories are excellent vehicles for the education of your customers. But your first duty is to tell a story. Avoid creating a success story that sounds like an essay technique. Keep it relaxed and keep it moving.
